Arfiras - Art Gallery

Project overview

Arfiras is an art gallery that sells work by Pakistani artists, from emerging names to established ones, to collectors around the world.

The client commissioned a comprehensive audit and end-to-end redesign of their Shopify store. The objective was to establish an upscale, cohesive brand aesthetic across all pages, optimize responsiveness across mobile and desktop devices, and streamline the customer journey for a frictionless checkout experience.

The existing site was left unfinished following an abandoned freelance engagement. Upon audit, we identified significant backend vulnerabilities, incomplete configurations, and unauthorized third-party themes and plugins that posed serious security, compliance, and operational risks prior to launch.

Workflow

We rebuilt the store on the premium Architect theme, in white with gold detailing, Garamond headings and Jost body text. Sections the theme did not have were built to match an HTML mockup.

Collectors can filter artworks by medium, subject, artist and price, and browse artist pages with biographies. Pieces without a listed price offer a request a quote option instead. The store is set up to sell in the UK, US, Canada, Europe, Australia and Pakistan, with a commissions form and an open call for artists.
